On 20th June, Sony Pictures released '28 Years Later' in theaters across the US, UK, and Canada. On 29th July, it went on sale for digital purchase or rental (PVOD), and from 22nd September, its physical media (Blu-ray, 4K UHD, and DVD) will be accessible. In the US, it is available for streaming on Netflix as of 20th September. 

According to Sony's agreements, it might arrive later in other areas. As of right now, Nia DaCosta is directing the sequel, '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,' which Alex Garland will once again write and is expected to release on 16th January, 2026.
