Billie Eilish gave fans a surprise emotional moment during her recent concert in Paris, performing a stripped-back cover of Paramore’s ballad ‘The Only Exception’. The show, held on 10th June at the Accor Arena, marked the first of two nights in the French capital as part of her ongoing ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ tour.

According to reports, the Paramore cover came 13 songs into her 25-track set. Eilish was said to have sat in a circle with her bandmates as they delivered the soft, echoing rendition, eventually prompting the entire arena to sing along once she reached the chorus.

Paramore's Hayley Williams seemed genuinely touched by the tribute. She shared a clip of the performance on her Instagram Stories, writing that she loved Eilish and that the performance had been “so beautifully” done.

This wasn’t Eilish’s first nod to Paramore. Back in April 2022, she brought Williams onstage during her Coachella headline set to perform both Paramore’s ‘Misery Business’ and her own track, ‘Happier Than Ever’. Shortly after, when a fan asked on Instagram about her favourite Paramore song, Eilish had reportedly shared a screenshot of herself playing ‘All I Wanted’—the final track on the band’s 2009 album ‘Brand New Eyes’—with the volume turned all the way up. She had called it her “all-time favourite”.

In response, Paramore later invited Eilish to join them onstage at a Los Angeles show, where she sang the opening verse of ‘All I Wanted’ and contributed harmonies throughout.

Eilish’s Tour Continues with Covers and Collaborations

Elsewhere on her current tour, Eilish has included a cover of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ in her setlist. Her admiration for the band goes back years, and in 2019, frontman Thom Yorke had reportedly expressed his own appreciation, saying he liked that she was doing her own thing and not being directed by others.

Eilish’s European tour is set to continue through to early July, with upcoming stops in the UK including two nights in Glasgow and six shows at London’s O2 Arena. She also recently made an appearance during Charli XCX’s Coachella 2025 set, performing their Grammy-nominated collaboration ‘Guess’.

Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Snoop Dogg headlined the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics on 11^th August.

Their performances highlighted the torch handover to Los Angeles, which began with H.E.R. performing the ‘Mission: Impossible’ theme while Tom Cruise rappelled into the Stade de France in Paris.

A pre-recorded segment showed Cruise landing in the Hollywood Hills, marking the transition to the 2028 Los Angeles Games. He then handed the flag to Team USA athletes, who ultimately arrived at Venice Beach, where the Red Hot Chili Peppers opened the American portion of the ceremony with ‘Can’t Stop’.

Eilish followed with a performance of ‘Birds of a Feather’ from a lifeguard lookout on the beach, before Snoop Dogg, a notable presence at this year’s Olympics in Paris, took the stage with ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’.

He concluded his performance by joining forces with Dr. Dre for their classic hit ‘The Next Episode’.

All three acts were confirmed for the closing ceremony earlier in the day.

LA28 chairperson Casey Wasserman announced the performers, highlighting the significance of the moment as the Olympic flag was handed over from Paris to LA. Wasserman expressed excitement about showcasing local talent and praised Billie Eilish, H.E.R., the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Snoop Dogg for their contributions to the event, which aimed to give a glimpse of what’s to come in the 2028 Games.

The Paris closing ceremony began with performances by Phoenix, Air, Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig, and French electro-pop pioneer Kavinsky.

The festivities kicked off with an impressive opening ceremony along the River Seine on 26^th July, featuring Lady Gaga performing the French cabaret song ‘Mon truc en plumes’ and Gojira delivering the French Revolution song ‘Ah Ça Ira!’ with opera singer Marina Viotti.

Celine Dion also made her return to the stage for the first time in four years, performing Edith Piaf’s ‘L’Hymne A L’Amour’ in her first show since revealing her diagnosis with stiff person syndrome (SPS) in 2022.

‘Guitar Songs,’ a two-track EP by Billie Eilish, includes the songs ‘TV’ and ‘The 30th.’ Eilish previously gave the live debut of ‘TV’ at her performance in Manchester last month, where she shared the stage with her brother Finneas to play the acoustic song.

“Finneas and I really wanted these to be yours as soon as possible,” she told fans of the surprise release. “So here they are!! Performing ‘TV’ on tour was such a highlight for us too, so we took the audio from the first night we played it in Manchester and put it in the song.”

Billie added: “I get shivers every time I hear it. Hope you love the songs and thank you for letting us share our music with you.”

Speaking to Apple Music today, Eilish claimed that she and Finneas composed "the first verse and the chorus" of ‘TV’ a few months ago.

She also discussed the lyrics of the song, where she sings “The internet is going wild / while they’re overturning Roe v. Wade”. The music icon has previously spoken out against anti-abortion policies.

“We wrote that line a few weeks before it was officially overturned,” she said. “It was a placeholder of doom. I mean, it was the day of Glastonbury that it happened, and I was sitting in the… We were at this house, and I was sitting with the dogs in the grass.”

Eilish continued: “My mom came out, and she just stood there, and she went, ‘They overturned it.’ We all were just like… God, it was like a curtain of doom. I mean, there was almost no even reaction. I had this, I guess, now that I think about it, unrealistic hope that that wouldn’t happen.”

She also discussed ‘The 30th,’ mentioning that it was their first song since ‘Happier Than Ever.’

“That’s why it’s called ‘The 30th’,” Billie said. “Because something happened on November 30th and it had just been the most indescribable thing to have to witness and experience. I had been writing down all these thoughts that I was having. I was with Finneas, and I was like, “I’m sorry, I don’t know what you were planning on doing, but we need to write this song about this right now,” and we did, and that was the first song we wrote since ‘Happier Than Ever’.”

Eilish also discussed her goals for her upcoming music, saying she hopes to record another album in the next year.

Meanwhile, she made history in June by becoming the festival's youngest-ever headlining act.

The song ‘Mona Lisa, Mona Lisa’ is accompanied by a music video that includes scenes from Eilish's recent headline tour of Europe as well as artwork by renowned director Gus Van Sant.

Revealing that the artwork is a painting based on Leonardo DaVinci’s legendary Mona Lisa and gifted to Finneas by Van Sant, he wrote on Instagram: “The artwork is a painting by the incredible Gus Van Sant that he gave me before he even knew I had a song named after the Mona Lisa.

“So cool and such an honour to have this piece of art as the cover for my song.”

Reviewing Finneas’ debut solo album ‘Optimist’ upon its release last year, NME said: “He made his name producing and writing for his megastar sister Billie Eilish, and now it’s Finneas’ turn to step into the spotlight. ‘Optimist’ has been a long time coming – it follows a whopping 23 singles released since 2016 – and fully justifies why he’s become the industry’s producer du jour.”

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has extended an invitation to Billie Eilish and Finneas, whose James Bond tune won an Oscar earlier this year.

On 28^th July, the Academy released the full list of 397 individuals who were invited to its board. The 397 names include actors, directors, musicians, producers, film editors and more.

The invitees in the music category are led by Billie Eilish and Finneas, who earlier this year won the Oscar for Best Original Song for their song ‘No Time To Die.’ Eilish won an Oscar, a Grammy and a Golden Globe for her song ‘No Time To Die,’ becoming the youngest person to ever do so.

Amie Doherty, Lili Hadyn, Leo Heiblum, Natalie Holt, Nathan Johnson, Jacobo Lieberman, Ariel Rose Marx and Hesham Nazih are other musicians who have been accepted to join the Academy.

Billie Eilish will be performing in the Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.

Eilish will perform at the continent's first-ever headlining concerts, which were announced on 23^rd June. The singer had already given performances in 2018 as part of the Laneway and Summer Sonic festivals in Singapore, Tokyo and Osaka. Eilish will visit numerous cities in the Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.

This weekend, Eilish will play at Glastonbury Festival's Pyramid Stage as part of her current tour of Europe and the UK.

At her Manchester gig on 7th June, Billie Eilish debuted a new song. Eilish's performance at AO Arena was her first in the United Kingdom since she appeared at Reading in 2019. 

Over Finneas' softly strumming guitar, she sings, ‘What's the point of anything / All of my pals are absent again / That's what happens when you fall in love,’ at times joining in with his sister, singing in unison. The singer appears to allude to recent events, notably the Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard trial and the attempted overturning of abortion rights in the United States, at one point.

Eilish launched 'Overheated', a multi-day climate-focused event slated to take place at The O2 in London this month.

The six-day event will take place from 10th-12^th June, 16th June and 25th-26th June, coinciding with the singer's 'Happier Than Ever' world tour's UK and European leg. Later this month, Billie will perform in London, Birmingham and Glasgow.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, the pop sensation talked about her "exhausting" Tourettes experience. Eilish appeared on David Letterman's OTT series 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction'.

Eilish will also perform at Worthy Farm at Glastonbury this month.

Kelly Clarkson has uploaded a cover of Billie Eilish's ‘Happier Than Ever’ to promote her new EP, ‘Kellyoke.’ Covers of songs by The Weeknd, Whitney Houston and Radiohead may also be included on the singer's new album.

On her eponymous daytime chat programme, which airs weekdays on NBC, the pop star-turned-TV host regularly covers other people's songs. Harry Styles, The Smiths, Radiohead, Ed Sheeran, George Michael and others are among the musicians she's covered thus far. 

She's now revealed that she'll be putting the notion of the segment to tape with the release of a six-song EP. The album, which will be released on 9th June by Atlantic, will feature versions of songs by The Weeknd, Whitney Houston, Radiohead and others.

Talking about her new episode, Kelly said that music is in the DNA of everything she does, so when The Kelly Clarkson Show premiered, she knew it would be the ideal way to start each episode.

Clarkson also performs a cover of the title track from Billie Eilish's second album, which was released last summer, on the EP.

Coldplay, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Nile Rodgers and Adam Lambert are among the musicians and celebrities who have signed an open letter imploring world leaders to address the grave issues of extreme poverty and climate change.

Global Citizen launched the letter at their inaugural ‘thought leadership summit,’ Global Citizen NOW, which took place in New York City on 22^nd May. It's part of their year-long campaign to ‘End Extreme Poverty NOW – Our Future Can't Wait.’

5 Seconds Of Summer, Alessia Cara, Billy Porter, Chloe x Halle, Cyndi Lauper, Duran Duran, Femi Kuti, Hugh Jackman, Mneskin and Ricky Martin are among those who have signed the letter.

Many of the musicians involved in the new effort have long worked with Global Citizen, a well-known name in the music and entertainment industries. Eilish, for example, joined Radiohead, The Weeknd and others in a social media demonstration in April to call on governments and institutions to fund humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and elsewhere.

Måneskin performed at the Global Citizen Live stream in Paris in September, while Coldplay, Eilish and Finneas played in New York, and Duran Duran headlined in London. Coldplay has been a long-time supporter of Global Citizen, having participated in its prior humanitarian endeavours in 2015, 2017 and 2018.

Harry Styles is preparing a special ‘One Night Only In New York’ gig to celebrate the release of his upcoming third album, 'Harry's House'. With only one gig at UBS Arena, only a select few thousand fans will get to see the 28-year-old pop sensation perform his new songs for the first time, right? Wrong.

Styles' concert will be broadcast live for millions of people, as confirmed on 17^th May. Fans from all over the world may tune in at 9 p.m. ET on 20^th May to watch the show, which will be streamed exclusively on Apple Music.

On the same day, his highly anticipated album 'Harry's House' will be released. 

There's more! The episode will be repeated on Apple two days later at 12 p.m. ET on 22^nd May, and then again at 4 p.m. BT on 26^th May. There will be a few more opportunities to see the ‘As It Was’ singer play live, as he recently announced a ‘One Night Only In London’ performance on 24^th May at the O2 Academy in Brixton. Later, he'll embark on an extended leg of his 'Love On Tour'.

Styles recently had a conversation with Apple Music's Zane Lowe for an hour-long chat about the making of Harry's House, and this is the latest development in their ongoing collaboration. During their interview, the Grammy winner said that he and his former One Direction teammates have mutual respect for one another rather than active camaraderie, and that watching Billie Eilish's development helped him to put commercial success and celebrity aside.

He also discussed how Harry's House differs from his previous albums, 'Fine Line' from 2019 and his debut from 2017. He told Lowe that it's so much more intimate to him, but also said it is more technological in a lot of areas than anything he’s ever made. He also mentioned that it's so much more personal and at the moment, this is his favourite album, and that he adores it.
